چکیده

A field survey was conducted in Okomu Forest Reserve Edo State, to assess the diversity and seasonal dynamics of arthropod species selected land use systems (Okomu national park, rubber plantation oil palm plantation). Samplings arthropods were carried out between February September 2020, collected by hand picking sweep net each sampled plots at 25 m x study area. Insects encountered killed preserved chloroform. Arthropods samples taken laboratory for oven dry identification. total 382 spread across 15 orders, 34 families 81 recorded. The most dominant orders Hymenoptera (Ants) followed Odonta (dragonfly) Lepidoptera (butterfly Moth) during season while highest abundance Spirostreptida (millepde) Araneae (spider) rainy season. National Park has (220) insect follow Rubber Plantation (136) least Oil Palm (72) Study revealed that no record Scolopendromorphra (centipede) andHemiptera (bug) (centipede), lepidoptera (butterfly), also there norecord blattodea (crockroach) order Park. evenness observed (H’ = 3.03 E’= 0.83) (H’=1.89 E’=0.86) 1.53 0.60). ANOVA showed significant (P≤0.05) different on is nosignificant (P≥0.05) seasons Observation made variation as bio-indicators

Seasonal dynamics of arboreal spider diversity in a temperate forest

Measuring and estimating biodiversity patterns is a fundamental task of the scientist working to support conservation and inform management decisions. Most biodiversity studies in temperate regions were often carried out over a very short period of time (e.g., a single season) and it is often-at least tacitly-assumed that these short-term findings are representative of long-term general pattern...

Abundance, diversity and seasonal dynamics of hard ticks infesting cattle in Isfahan province, central Iran

The objectives of this study were to determine the diversity, seasonal dynamics and abundance of ticks infesting cattle in Isfahan zone, Iran. The study was conducted in three traditional cattle farms. No acaricides had been applied to cattle at the selected farms. Adult ticks were collected twice per month from different parts of the cattle's body. Environmental data, including relative humidi...

in current study, 63 samples of bat populations collected from differ regions were used for evaluating the geographic variations. twenty cranial and dental characters for traditional morphometric and landmarks method on the ventral, dorsal skull and mandible for geometry morphometric studies were used. statistical analyses of traditional morphometric and geometry morphometric data indicated low...

effects of reserve management on woody and ground flora diversity (case study: chamhesar ‍pear forest reserve)

forest reserves are one of the most important approaches in ecosystem management in iran. in order to determine the effects of reserve management on plants diversity (woody plants and ground flora) in three zones (core zone, buffer zone, and transmission zone of chamhesar pear forest reserve), we mapped land form units. then 18 main sampling units (20×50=1000 m2) distributed randomly were chose...
